Voice Journaling

Sometimes it’s easier to talk than to type. With Journoo Pro you can speak your mind, and Journoo can talk back.

1. Open an entry and tap the microphone.
2. Talk naturally, then tap the microphone again to stop.
3. The transcript lands in your composer. Edit it if you like, then Explore.

Notes on Transcription:

• When you stop for about 10 seconds, Journoo ends the recording and transcribes it for you.
• A recording can run up to 10 minutes.
• If a call comes in or you switch apps, Journoo pauses safely and keeps what you said.
• If your daily voice minutes run out mid-recording, Journoo stops the recording and keeps what you said so far.

Tip: Journoo misspelling a name or a niche word? Add it in Settings → Transcription Hints and future transcripts will get it right.

A call is a hands-free conversation. Journoo listens, replies out loud, and listens again, until you end the call.

1. In an entry, tap the call button.
2. Talk. When you pause for a few seconds, Journoo replies out loud, then it is your turn again.
3. Tap End Call when you are done. Everything you said is in the entry as text, so you can keep typing or finish the entry.

Notes on calls:

• A waveform shows while Journoo is listening. Tap Pause to hold the call and Resume to continue.
• Tap Done to close your turn right away. Handy where wind or traffic keeps the mic from hearing your pause.
• Set how long a pause Journoo waits for under Response pause in the entry settings menu: Quick is 2 seconds, Relaxed is 4 seconds, Thoughtful is 8 seconds.
• If you say nothing for about 15 seconds, Journoo asks if you are still there. After 10 more seconds of silence it ends the call.
• Calls use your daily voice minutes. When they run out, Journoo says so, the call ends, and the entry continues in text. Everything you said stays in the entry.

• Journoo reads all its responses inside an entry aloud (e.g. Explore, Suggest).
• When you finish an entry, Pro reads your summary aloud.

Notes on Text-to-Speech:

• Toggle on/off with the speaker button.
• Pick the voice that suits you in entry settings menu.
• Adjust the playback speed slider to make it just right.
