Start a hands-free journal call from your car screen. Journoo speaks first, listens while you talk, and saves everything to an entry.

• CarPlay is part of Journoo Pro. On the Free plan the car screen shows an upgrade message.
• You need to be signed in on your phone.
• Journoo in the car needs iOS 26.4 or later.

1. Tap Journoo on your CarPlay home screen.
2. Pick a row: New entry, Daily Discovery, Start Here, Follow-Ups, or Continue writing. Start Here shows the same 3 prompts as your phone dashboard. Continue writing lists your 10 latest drafts.
3. Journoo opens the entry and speaks its opening question. Then it listens.

During the callCopy Anchor Link

The screen shows what Journoo is doing: Listening, Thinking, Talking, Paused, or Reconnecting.

• Talk, then pause. When you stop for a few seconds, Journoo replies out loud, then listens again. Set the pause length with Response pause in entry settings on your phone. See Voice Journaling.
• Done Talking closes your turn right away. Useful on a noisy road.
• Skip stops the reply Journoo is reading.
• Repeat Last reads the last reply again.
• Pause and Resume hold the call.
• Finish Entry wraps up the entry and reads your summary aloud. Tap Skip Summary to stop the read-out. The summary is still saved.
• End Call stops the call and keeps the entry as a draft. Open it later on your phone or from Continue writing in the car.

If you say nothing for about 15 seconds, Journoo asks "Are you still there?". After 10 more seconds of silence it ends the call and keeps the draft.

Phone calls and interruptionsCopy Anchor Link

If a phone call comes in, or Siri or another car app takes the screen, Journoo pauses your call. Return within 3 minutes and it picks up where you left off. Take longer and the call ends. Everything you said is saved as a draft.

When a limit is reachedCopy Anchor Link

When you reach today's entry limit, the entry's Explore limit, or today's voice minutes, the car shows a short message and saves your draft. Calls use the same daily voice minutes as calls on your phone. See Which Plan Should I Get?.
